Firstly let’s get one thing straight, Squeeze, Landing and Sales Pages can use a lot of the same technology such as the platform you use to present your Squeeze Page on. It could be a html built site or a site which uses a Content Management System such as WordPress, Joomla or Drupal.

It seems like the most popular choice is the WordPress Platform, and there are some very good reasons for that. WordPress lends itself to Landing Pages because of its ease of use where adding content to the site is concerned and its ability to use suitable themes which dictates the design.

There are some WordPress Landing Page Themes available which are worth looking at where all you have to do is add your content, a video and either a opt in form or a PayPal Button, and it’s done.

So what are the main components of a high Converting Sales Page?

It can be broken down in to 6 main sections. The first is the “Killer headline”, the idea here is to capture the interest of site visitors instantly. Most of the time they would have reached your landing page through one of two different routes, either from a search carried out on Google or another search engine, which is called organic search. The other way is through a paid link of some description, such as a Google Ad or through Facebook Advertising. Whichever way people get to your site, they have got there because they are searching for a solution to a problem. In the case of organic search (which is the one to really aim for when optimizing your site) the internet visitor would have put a keyword or phrase into the search engine and we have optimized our page to get at least on the first page of Google so we have a chance of getting this potential client to click through to our site.

Our Killer headline MUST answer the problem the searcher was looking for. For example, if someone puts into Google the query, “brown trilby hat” and gets presented with a host of results, one of which is your site, you want to make very sure that when that prospect clicks onto your site that the headline they read gives them the solution to their query such as, “Highest Quality Brown Trilby Hats At The Lowest Prices In Europe – Delivered World – Next DAY!!!” Now that’s an attention grabber!

Ok, the next item on our list which has proven to convert more people when included is a video. Video, has proven to keep prospects on a page longer and therefore giving you a better opportunity to convert them. It is a great idea to reinforce the sales message in the video, again stating that you have the solution to their primary problem. Technically you need a video which is wide screen and in High Definition if possible. The most important thing with a video is the message. Strong narration is essential.

Next we have our first “Soft Call To Action”. This is usually a phone number, this is mainly because someone may have been to your site previously and already decided to use your product or service and just need to contact you. The other reason is that your headline and video were so good and the phone number in a prominent place will spur them into action.

The next element is the supporting text or “Body Copy” as it’s known. This has to be carefully written; in fact this could be the most difficult part of the process of putting together a great Squeeze or sales page. But here’s a bit of advice. Just be succinct and tell the truth about your product or service. Don’t try and be clever for the sake of it and focus on benefits rather than features. If fact, bullet point features and explain concisely the benefits of those features below them.

It’s also a great idea to look at other sales pages and see how they have been put together. The next part of the equation is getting their information. In other words getting a lead, this is exactly what a squeeze page is for. Never try to sell a product, concentrate on getting a “Name” and “email”. To be able to do this we need to use the last two elements in conjunction.

1 – Free Gift or “Ethical Bribe”.
2 – Opt In Form, to capture the lead.

It is a fact that people are more reluctant to give their name, email or any other data without a really good reason. That reason is usually that you will give them something of great perceived value in exchange for their details.

This is where the “Ethical Bribe” concept comes in. Depending on your niche or industry, you will need to create something that people want; this could take the form of a specially prepared report, a specialised technique, or a clever way of doing something which most people have no idea about. The report does not have to be a downloadable document, it could be a DVD or CD delivered to their door, that’s if you need their address on your database. If not, then you can create a simple video or audio series.

The point is that the prospect has to see this as a really good deal, and therefore prepared to give you their details.

A sales page is very similar, with the exception that you want them to click on a “Buy Now” button and purchase something. This works best with downloadable product.

Building these sites is very easy with the right WordPress Squeeze Page Themes , all you have to do is add the text and the video and publish.

The Six Elemants Of A Squeeze Page Are
1 – Killer HeadLine
2 – Video
3 – Soft Call To Action
4 – Supporting Text (Body Copy)
5 – Ethical Bribe 6 – Opt In Form

Article Marketing Strategy – Abundance Marketing

Article Marketing Strategy – Abundance Marketing

Author: Andy Phillips

Article Marketing is a good way of gaining both backlinks and traffic, and more powerful than many first realize. In fact, some people use it solely for the backlink value, and by doing so, are ignoring a potentially incredible source of extremely targeted traffic.

One argument regarding article marketing is that it is a ‘short term’ solution, which basically requires you to submit content to a third party website as opposed to building up your own. While this is very true, at the same time, it is a way that you can tap into the already-high page rank and reputation of article directories, hence the good backlink potential.

What you end up with is a High Page Ranked site, which gets found in search result that basically advertises your website, which is fantastic.

Now how can you use the articles you have already written and create an abundance of content. Let me quickly run through a traffic driving strategy which has worked on many occasions, In fact I will be using this series in the same way.

Re-purposing Strategy

Let’s go from an article you have written already, or one you will prepare especially for this exercise. Get an article which points toward a product or service you provide, let’s not forget we are trying to make money with these strategies, so target the article to build a need for a sale.

Make sure the article is keyword rich and uses language which surrounds the product or service. In essence what we are going to do is turn your article into other types of media. This is again ensuring that we come from a position of abundance not scarcity. Abundance in this instance is quite simply to dominate multiple media platforms with the same information. All this information is tied by the same keywords and phrases right across the board.

Multiple Media Platforms – Same Information

For this strategy, you need to understand that Optimisation is all about links, linking from sites of authority, internal linking in fact any link that enables both the search engines to understand what niche your site’s targeted at, and for your human audience to get to the information they are looking for quickly. Both of these need you to decide on your keyword or keywords.

1 – Post To Your Blog (Or Website) – Create A Landing Page

Part 1 – Firstly get your article on your Blog or your primary website, this will do a few things. Firstly create more living content for your site which is looked upon favourably by the search engines, but it also beds your article in. When you put writing into a forum where you know people WILL read it, you tend to put more care into it. You do you best with the spelling and the way the sentences are constructed. It’s also a goo place to make sure you have enough keywords in the article. Part 2 – Create a “Landing Page” with a chosen “Call To Action” – This could be a sales page specifically there to sell a product or service. It could be a “Squeeze Page” focused on just getting people on to your list. Keyword focus should be on the url, titles, headings and body text.

2 – Submit your article to “Article Directories”

Go to Article Directories and submit your article there. These are great places to get back-links to your chosen site, your “Landing Page”. The Articles Directories should all have a “High Page Rank” such as ezinearticles.com which has a Google Page Rank of 6 and an Alexa Traffic Rank of 105. You could also look atArticleBase Where people can pick up your aticles for their blogs with the caveat that all pst must carry your link to your site. So in other words, not only do you have article on a popular site, you may have a number of blogs running your article as well.

3 – Create A PDF

Creating a.pdf document is not only a great way to distribute your information in a format which can not be changed, you can also upload your pdf to sites such as www.scribd.com

The great thing is that.pdf documents are fully searchable which means the search engines or spiders can read what’s on them. You can put hyper-links in the document so a really great format.

4 – Create A Slide Show

From the information in your article and the pdf you can extract or distil a bullet pointed and descriptive presentation which expresses the core essence of your message with site addresses and keywords. You can upload these presentations to sites such as:

www.slideshare.netwww.slideboom.comwww.scribd.com www.authorstream.comwww.sliderocket.com in fact Sliderocket is one site I think you should take a look at closer. I think it has some great video making potential… but I’m going to cover this in another post.

5 – Create A Video (Create Channel)

If you don’t have a YouTube Channel then it’s about time you did. If you have a gmail account then sign up through that but get on board with YouTube. Just so you understand the importance, YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world.. You notice I said Search engine!!! – People are searching for solution to their problems. If your article solves peoples problems then you can easily create some short videos even if they are power point based. In fact you could read from your article and use the slides you prepared for your presentation. All you have to do now is to use screen capture software like Camtasia for PC orScreenFlow for the Mac. A great alternative is screenr.com which is FREE and a fantastic. Really quick to use and gets screen captured videos on to facebook, twitter and YouTube in only a few minutes.

6 – Strip Out The Audio And Create A MP3

Stripping out the audio from your video provides the opportunity to do a few really cool things. The first is to create audio bloggs or audio files in your website. The second is to create some free audio downloads which can be used as a valuable free gift in exchange for their email.. Ethical Bribe!! Third, you could create CD’s to give away or sell and finally if you go over to www.podcast411.com you can find out how to create podcats of your MP3′s

7 – Upload To iTunes As A PodCast (Create Station)

This is a bit more advanced but well worth exploring. If you are using WordPress then you can create podcasts for iTunes using a plugin called PodPress. or usepodcast411 (above) Creating a subscribable podcast again increases your internet presence and consequently increases the chance of targeted client finding you.

In fact that’s what this is all about… driving traffic to your site or Landing Page by dominating as many on-line media types as possible. The reason we put it together in a strategy is simply so you get as much of this done as possible.. But even if you only did half what I have suggested you see a dramatic rise in the number of visitors to your site..

All you have to do now is make sure your site converts and you’re on to a winner

Affiliate Marketing: Knowing your Customers

Affiliate Marketing may best be described as an agreement between associates or affiliate and merchants where the associate earns a commission fee for generating business for the merchant.

Some Affiliate Marketing programs pay the associate or affiliate commissions for sales, generating leads, or sending customers to their website through clicks.

There are numerous affiliate marketing programs to consider joining, but one thing is certain, every affiliate must choose programs that target his or her customers.

Knowing your customers’ or website visitor’s preferences will enable you to choose Affiliate Marketing programs that are best suited for their needs. Since you are a webmaster or blogger, it is your responsibility to create a site that attracts visitors and builds a level of trust.

Every visitor that arrives at your site is a potential customer and the affiliate marketing programs that you join must appeal to your visitors, or your efforts will be fruitless. It is imperative that you understand who the visitors of your site are, what they are interested in, what their preferences are, and promote affiliate marketing programs that will appeal to them.

Adding a Frequently Asked Questions area to your site is an informative way in which you can find out more about your visitor’s needs. By having a section on your website where visitors can ask questions, you can determine what Affiliate Programs would best suit their requirements. If you consider that your customer’s have unsolved problems, then look for affiliate programs that would solve those problems, you’ll find greater success with your marketing efforts.

Look closely at their questions and determine which questions are being asked frequently. You can then use the information to choose Affiliate Marketing programs and place ads directly on your site, or place the ads in your newsletters. A great tip is to include the FAQ from your website in your newsletters, as this also increase the relationship between you and your customers. Understanding the needs of your customer’s is crucial for implementing successful Affiliate Marketing strategies.

Some Great Advice When Working From Home

To be successful in working online from home, there is more you should do than just have a computer and strong Internet connection. Remember that this setup is unlike the traditional office environment. You need to make certain adjustments in your working style, schedule, and even attitude to ensure productivity.

There are certain working online guides that can help you perform well. Here are six of them. A few of my students have complained that they are spending too much time behind the computer.

I know from experience that you need some guidelines to maximise your earning potential.. I have some of my best ideas when walking round some of the parks and garden near my home in Berkshire, England.

Anyway here are some guidelines….

1. Have a definite work place. This can be a spare room anywhere in the house or a space in your bedroom. One thing you have to keep in mind is that your work place or home office, as what others like to call it, should allow you to function with little or no distractions. It should be well-lit and -ventilated and spacious enough to accommodate your other office gadgets. Once you have identified your work place, orient your household members about it and request them not to trudge in whenever you are working.

2. Determine your working hours. Though there are online jobs that require you to work during specified hours, some jobs allow you to work anytime of the day. Choose the time when you are most productive and be very disciplined. Just like in a corporate office, you are not supposed to leave your work when you feel like it. Keep in mind that you should maintain a professional attitude even without a prying boss or officemates.

3. Set daily goals. Doing so can help you identify your priorities and allow you to manage your time. Write your goals in a journal and see if they are met at the end of your working day. Without outlining your daily goals, you seem to be shooting aimlessly and might achieve nothing in the end.

4. Get away from online distractions. There are many of them really—social networking sites, video streaming sites, downloading sites, among many other things. Not only can they slow down your computer, they can also take much of your time. Consider this, the full 30 minutes you spend watching a video is possibly the same amount of time you need to type one thousand-plus words. And you don’t want that significant loss, would you? It’s not that you are not allowed to visit any of these sites; it’s just that you have to make good use of your working time and be as productive as you can be. Remember, there’s a proper time for play.

5. Take some breaks. The other extreme tendency in having a work-from-home online job is overworking. This is because work is just within reach and it is easier for you to spend more time doing it than relaxing. Working too much is not the way to do it, as this can potentially burn you out. Rest when you need to. Take your meal on time. Have coffee breaks. Take a day off.

6. Go out regularly. Since your job now only involves you, a computer, and a virtual community, you need to socialize and get connected with people. You can, for instance, have a movie date with your best friend or a slumber party with your former officemates. Never spend a whole week locked in the house; find a way to spend at least a day somewhere.

While these guides can help you function well, much of your success in working online from home still depends on your perseverance, dedication, and patience.

Focus on your goals….
